Deutsche Bank's India retail assets draw final bids
Deutsche Bank is selling its retail assets and wealth management business in India.
Two Indian banks, Kotak Mahindra Bank and Federal Bank, have made final bids for these assets, which are worth about $2.5 billion.
The assets include things like home loans, small business loans, and wealth management services.
Deutsche Bank wants to focus more on big companies and investment banking.
Indian banks are interested because more people in India are saving money and need banking services.
This is not the first time Deutsche Bank has tried to sell these assets, but they didn't get a good price before.
Other banks like Emirates NBD were interested but decided not to bid.
If Kotak or Federal Bank buys these assets, they will become even stronger in the Indian banking market.
