Gujarat to Invest Rs 29,000 Crore in Green Energy Grid
Gujarat is spending a lot of money to improve how it gets power from the sun and wind to homes and businesses.
They are building new power lines and stations, especially to move electricity from areas with lots of solar and wind power.
This is part of a bigger plan to make sure everyone has reliable and clean energy.
They're also upgrading their power grid with new technology, including underground cables and ways to make sure the power is always strong.
Gujarat is already ahead of the country in using solar power on rooftops and is aiming to generate a lot more renewable energy in the future.
This helps the environment and makes sure the state has enough power.
Gujarat will invest Rs 29,000 crore in the GEC-III to transmit renewable power.
The GEC-III will handle 16,500MW of renewable energy.
The project includes building new transmission lines and substations.
Gujarat aims for 42GW of renewable capacity by 2035.
The state leads in rooftop solar adoption and wind power generation.
