Delhi Neighborhoods: Areas to Avoid for Solo Travelers
Delhi is a busy city with many things to see, but some areas can be tricky for people traveling alone.
Certain neighborhoods like Paharganj and Old Delhi get unsafe at night because of things like pickpockets and dimly lit streets.
Other areas such as Seelampur, Lajpat Nagar and GB Road also have safety issues after dark, and are best avoided.
If you're traveling solo, it's a good idea to skip these places to stay safe.
Paharganj and the New Delhi Railway Station are risky due to scams and crowds.
Old Delhi's narrow lanes can be unsafe at night because of pickpockets.
Seelampur, Seemapuri, and Nand Nagri have safety issues because of low police presence.
Lajpat Nagar's backstreets are also risky after dark.
GB Road is not recommended for tourists, especially solo female travelers.
