Pallivasal Hydel Project Extension Commissioning Delayed to September
A power plant in India that makes electricity from water is delayed until September because trash is blocking the water flow.
The trash comes from a nearby town and is clogging the intake area.
The people in charge are removing the trash manually and will install a cleaner to fix the problem.
The plant has already made a lot of electricity during tests.
The project was originally planned to open in June.
Once open, it will help provide electricity.
Commissioning of the Pallivasal hydel power project extension is delayed further.
The project was initially scheduled for commissioning on June 17.
KSEB stated the project will now be commissioned in September.
Experimental generation has already injected over 100 MU of power into the grid.
Waste from Munnar is clogging the trash gate, reducing water flow.
