Bengaluru Restructured: Five Corporations Replace BBMP
Bengaluru is changing how it runs the city.
The old system, called BBMP, is gone.
Now, there's a new group, the GBA.
The city is split into five parts, each with its own leaders, to make things better.
These new leaders will be in charge of things like roads and garbage.
Also, the city is going to redraw the boundaries of these areas.
The goal is to make the city better for everyone, but some experts are worried if this will actually work.
There are also concerns about appointing officials.
The Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) has come into effect, replacing the BBMP.
Bengaluru is now divided into five city corporations: Central, East, West, North, and South.
The GBA will be headed by a chief commissioner.
The ward delimitation process is expected to conclude by November 2025.
The aim is to improve public infrastructure and the quality of life.
