High Court Dismisses Rahul Gandhi's Plea Against Summons
Imagine someone said some mean things about the Indian Army, and a court told them to come in and talk about it.
That person, Rahul Gandhi, tried to get out of it by asking a higher court to stop the lower court's order.
But the higher court said no, they have to follow the lower court's order and deal with the case.
The court will explain its full decision later.
Lawyers for the government argued that Rahul Gandhi had other ways to deal with the case instead of going straight to the higher court.
The lower court had ordered Rahul Gandhi to appear based on a complaint about the derogatory remarks he allegedly made.
Now, he still has to face the trial.
Allahabad High Court dismissed Rahul Gandhi's plea against a lower court summons.
The summons was related to alleged derogatory remarks made by Gandhi about the Indian Army.
The High Court stated the detailed order would be released on June 2.
Government lawyers argued Gandhi's petition wasn't maintainable due to alternative remedies.
A complaint was filed against Gandhi alleging derogatory remarks during the Bharat Jodo Yatra.
