CBSE Updates Land and Play Area Requirements for Schools
The CBSE has updated the rules for schools.
Different types of schools need different amounts of land.
All schools must have a big play area of at least 2,000 square meters.
If a school doesn't have enough land, it can share a play area with nearby schools or sports places.
The shared play area must be close and safe for students.
Schools must show an agreement if they share with a private place.
Existing schools that don't meet the play area rule should try to find a shared space.
CBSE updated minimum land requirements for 'A', 'B', and 'C' category schools.
All schools must have a play area of at least 2,000 sq mtr within the campus.
Schools with less than 6,000 sq mtr can arrange for sports and extracurricular activities nearby.
Arrangements must be within 200 meters and ensure student safety.
Agreements or letters must be submitted to the Board for external arrangements.
