Man kills wife, then hangs self in Delhi

A 44-year-old man named Jai Prakash allegedly killed his 37-year-old wife Jyoti and then took his own life by hanging at their home in Anand Parbat, Central Delhi.

The police received a call about a suspicious matter at their house and found the door of a room locked from inside.

When they forced the door open, they found Jyoti's body on the floor and Jai Prakash hanging from the ceiling.

Both were taken to the hospital but were declared dead.

The police are investigating the incident and have collected forensic evidence.

There were no signs of forced entry into the room, and no eyewitnesses have come forward so far.

The man's family members said he had been suffering from depression for several years.

The police are also examining the man's medical history and recording statements of family members and neighbors.
