Greater Noida Residents Fall Ill from Sewage-Mixed Water
In a place called Delta 1 in Greater Noida, many people got sick with tummy aches, vomiting, and diarrhea.
They think the water they drank was mixed with dirty sewage water.
The people in charge, called GNIDA, say they fixed some leaking pipes and are testing the water to be sure.
They also gave medicines to the sick people.
This is similar to what happened in other places like Indore and Gandhinagar, where dirty water made people very sick.
The boss of GNIDA has asked for more water tests in the area to keep everyone safe.
30 residents in Delta 1, Greater Noida, fell sick after allegedly consuming sewage-mixed water.
Residents reported yellow-coloured water and symptoms like loose motion, stomach ache, diarrhea, vomiting, and fever.
GNIDA stated no evidence of sewage mixing was found but repaired leaking pipes and collected water samples.
Medical Superintendent confirmed 5-6 people had stomach aches, likely due to contaminated water.
GNIDA CEO ordered random water testing across Greater Noida following the incident.
