Met Gala 2027 to Honor Designer John Galliano
The Met Gala is a big fashion party that happens every year in New York.
This year, in 2027, the organizers decided to celebrate a famous designer named John Galliano.
They will have a special show at the museum that shows his clothes and how he made them.
The show is split into three parts: the first part talks about his history, the second part shows what inspires him, and the third part looks at his creative process.
It’s a way to honor his work and let people learn about fashion history.
The Metropolitan Museum of Art and Vogue announced the 2027 Met Gala theme will honor John Galliano.
Galliano, former creative director of Givenchy, Christian Dior, and Maison Margiela, will be the focus of a dedicated Costume Institute exhibition.
The exhibition, titled "John Galliano: Horizon," will be divided into three sections: "Bearings," "Horizons," and "Atlas of Transformation."
The first section contextualizes Galliano’s work historically and culturally.
Subsequent sections examine his inspirations and creative process through sketches, research, and finished garments.
