Apple Blocks Fortnite Access in US and EU Amidst Ongoing Legal Battles
Imagine you love playing Fortnite on your iPhone, but now you can't in some places.
Apple, the company that makes iPhones, has stopped Fortnite from being played on its phones in the US and in Europe.
This is because the company that makes Fortnite, called Epic Games, and Apple are fighting in court.
Epic Games thinks Apple is charging too much money for things bought inside the game.
Apple blocked Fortnite before but let it back in Europe last year after the EU made new rules.
Now it seems to be blocked again, and nobody is sure exactly why.
Apple has blocked Fortnite on iPhones in the US and via Epic Games' store in the EU.
The ban affects access through Apple's iOS and App Store globally.
Epic Games, the maker of Fortnite, has not revealed the reason behind the block.
The companies have been in a legal dispute since 2020 over Apple's commission charges.
Apple had previously banned Fortnite in 2020, but allowed it back last year in Europe.
