Fadnavis: BMC Elections Likely in Late 2025, EC to Decide
Maharashtra is getting ready for local elections.
The Chief Minister, Devendra Fadnavis, says they'll likely happen in the last few months of the year, but the Election Commission has the final say.
They're preparing by creating new voting areas and updating the voter lists.
The elections will happen in stages.
Fadnavis also wants everyone to know that his political team is united.
BMC elections are expected in October, November, or December.
The Election Commission (EC) will make the final decision on the election date.
Fadnavis stated ward formation is almost complete, followed by updated voter lists.
Elections will be phased, starting with Zilla Parishads.
