TCS Denies Claims It Tracks Employees Through Laptops
Tata Consultancy Services uses computer tools to help keep its company network safe and working well.
Some reports said the tools could show which apps employees used and how long they used them.
This made people worry that the company might be watching individual workers.
TCS denied tracking individual employees through their laptops.
The company said it only looks at larger network performance.
It said this helps with security, availability and employees’ experience.
The disagreement is about whether the tools collect information about people or only about the computer network.
It also raises questions about who can see the information and how long it is kept.
