Apple Reportedly Prepares Two New AirPods 5 Models
Apple may release a new pair of regular wireless earbuds called AirPods 5.
Reports say there could be two versions.
One would be a basic model, while the other would block outside noise using ANC.
They might arrive in early September, but the date is not confirmed.
Apple used a similar plan for the AirPods 4.
Reviewers liked the noise-cancelling AirPods 4 more, although they cost more.
The new earbuds may improve sound, comfort, battery life, or pricing.
They probably will not gain full support for Android phones.
A Bloomberg report says Apple is preparing two AirPods 5 models: standard earbuds and an ANC version.
The earbuds could launch as early as September, potentially alongside other expected Apple products.
Apple previously used the same two-tier approach with the AirPods 4 lineup in 2024.
Potential improvements include better value, fit, battery life, and sound quality.
Android support is considered unlikely because Apple’s Beats brand already serves that market.
