Cholamandalam Investment Records 20% Net Profit Growth in Q2
Cholamandalam Investment and Finance, a finance company, had a good second quarter.
Their profits went up by 20%, and the total amount of money they manage also grew by 21%.
This means they are doing well in lending money and managing investments for people.
However, some of the loans they gave out are becoming harder to get back, meaning more people are having trouble paying them.
This is shown by a slight increase in bad loans.
Despite this, the company has enough money saved up to cover these potential losses and also has more capital than the government requires.
Overall, they are growing but need to watch the quality of their loans.
Cholamandalam Investment and Finance Company Ltd (CIFCL) reported a 20% year-on-year increase in net profit for Q2FY26, reaching ₹1,155 crore.
Standalone revenue from operations also grew by 20% to ₹7,469 crore in the same quarter.
Assets under Management (AUM) rose by 21% year-on-year to ₹2,14,906 crore as of September 30, 2025.
Aggregate disbursements saw a marginal 1% rise to ₹24,442 crore in Q2FY26.
Asset quality deteriorated sequentially, with Gross NPA rising to 4.57% and Net NPA to 3.07% as of September 30, 2025.
