MLC Raises Concerns Over Irregularities at Mangalore University
Imagine a school is having some problems.
A person in charge of making laws, called Manjunath Bhandari, is worried about what's happening at Mangalore University.
He said the university is doing some things that might not be right.
He thinks the school gave land to private companies in a way that wasn't fair, the new international hostel was built wrong, and money meant for a study center was used for other things.
He's also concerned about how the school chooses who gets jobs.
To make things better, he wants the people in charge to look into these issues and fix them, because these issues hurt the school's reputation.
MLC Manjunath Bhandari raised concerns about irregularities at Mangalore University in the Legislative Council.
Allegations include handing over university land to private institutions improperly.
Irregularities were reported in the construction of the international hostel.
Funds for the Belapu Study Centre were allegedly diverted.
