Pradhan lays foundation for tiger enclosure
A big official named Dharmendra Pradhan started building a new home for tigers and crocodiles in a zoo in Sambalpur, Odisha.
This new home will be very big and have special places for the animals to sleep, play, and swim.
The tigers will be Royal Bengal Tigers, and the crocodiles will be Mugger and Gharial.
The zoo already has a special glass wall where you can see leopards up close and a place to see plants called orchids.
The new home will also have a special place where you can watch the crocodiles swim underwater.
This is all to help take care of the animals and so more people can come and see them.
Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan laid the foundation for a 1,500 sq metre tiger enclosure in Sambalpur Zoo.
The enclosure will house two pairs of Royal Bengal Tigers and feature a 155 sq metre night house and a 50 sq metre water-pool.
An underwater viewing enclosure for Mugger and Gharial crocodiles was also initiated.
