Sikh Pilgrims Return from Pakistan After Celebrating Guru Nanak Dev's Birth Anniversary
A group of Sikh pilgrims, led by a religious leader named Giani Kuldip Singh Gargajj, visited Pakistan to celebrate the birthday of Guru Nanak Dev.
They visited important religious sites like Gurdwara Janam Asthan in Nankana Sahib and Gurdwara Sri Darbar Sahib in Kartarpur Sahib.
The Pakistani government and a Sikh organization in Pakistan helped make sure the pilgrims were safe and had everything they needed.
Upon returning to India, the leader thanked both governments and expressed hope for more harmony between the two countries.
He also asked for a special border crossing, the Kartarpur Sahib Corridor, to be opened more often and for easier travel for Sikhs from Pakistan to visit holy places in India.
Acting Jathedar of Akal Takht Giani Kuldip Singh Gargajj led a Sikh pilgrim group to Pakistan for Guru Nanak Dev's 556th birth anniversary.
The pilgrims visited key Gurdwaras including Janam Asthan in Nankana Sahib and Darbar Sahib in Kartarpur Sahib.
The Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (PSGPC) and the Punjab government of Pakistan provided security and facilities for the Jatha.
Gargajj expressed gratitude for the successful visit and prayed for peace and harmony between India and Pakistan.
