Stanford Alumnus Challenges Art Perception With 'Yufism' in Pune
Artist Amitabh Ashesh, who went to IIT Bombay and Stanford, has an art idea called 'Yufism'.
It's like seeing the world in a new way.
Instead of just painting things like a window, he paints the light and plants around it.
His art show, called 'Yun Bhi – So Too,' is in Pune until August 12.
He hopes people will try Yufism and make new art ideas, like opening doors for others to walk through.
He wants his art to inspire others.
In Yufism, rain might be shown as cubes, or windows as flowing breeze.
Amitabh Ashesh, an IIT Bombay and Stanford alumnus, presents his art theory 'Yufism' at the Vesavar Art Gallery.
Yufism challenges traditional 'looking' by rethinking how we see and translate reality.
The exhibition, 'Yun Bhi – So Too,' showcases Ashesh's 'proof-of-concept' pieces until August 12.
Ashesh's work reimagines everyday objects, like windows, to represent light and the surrounding environment.
The artist hopes Yufism will inspire others to explore its principles and build on them.
