Haryana Prepares for Digital Census 2027
The Haryana government is getting ready for the digital Census 2027, which will be the first time they do a completely digital count of people.
The Chief Secretary, Anurag Rastogi, had a meeting to make sure everything is planned well.
They want to make sure the information they collect is accurate and up-to-date.
The first part of the census, called the house-listing and housing census, will start on May 1, 2027.
They have already done a test in some areas and it went well.
Around 60,000 government employees, like teachers, will help with the census.
Haryana now has 23 districts, which is more than before, and the number of towns and villages has also changed since the last census in 2011.
Haryana is preparing for its first fully digital Census 2027, with Phase-I starting on May 1, 2027.
Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi chaired a meeting to review administrative and logistical arrangements.
Administrative boundaries in Haryana have been frozen to ensure accurate data collection.
A 100% digital pre-test was successfully conducted in Panchkula, Hisar, and Faridabad.
Around 60,000 government employees will be deployed as enumerators and supervisors during the first phase.
