Fresh Indian Squad Faces Visa Delays Ahead of U-23 Wrestling Worlds
A new group of Indian wrestlers is going to compete at the U-23 World Championships in Las Vegas.
They earned places through national trials.
The wrestling federation chose a separate team for this event instead of reusing athletes from other competitions.
The team includes men's freestyle, women's wrestling and Greco-Roman wrestlers.
The full men's freestyle team has permission to travel.
Some wrestlers in the women's and Greco-Roman groups are still waiting for US visas.
The competition starts on October 12 and finishes on October 18.
Visa delays could affect who is able to compete.
India will send a new roster to the U-23 World Championships in Las Vegas, beginning October 12.
The Wrestling Federation of India selected a separate squad after national trials, preventing overlap with other international assignments.
Rohit, Sweety and Vishvajit More lead the men's freestyle, women's and Greco-Roman squads, respectively.
