SC Criticizes Misuse of Article 32
The Supreme Court in India got upset because someone tried to file a special kind of request, called Article 32, when there was already a similar request being handled by a lower court.
The judges said this is happening too often and people are misusing this special request for small things, like when a court asks for more time.
They told the person who filed the request that this was not the right way to use the court's time and dismissed the request.
The Supreme Court criticized a petitioner for filing a plea under Article 32 despite a pending petition in the Bombay High Court.
The bench noted an increase in the number of cases filed under Article 32, often for trivial matters like adjournments.
The court stated that Article 32 is being misused, especially by those near Delhi.
The petition was dismissed as a gross misuse of the court's process and the law.
The bench consisted of Justices B V Nagarathna and Ujjal Bhuyan.
