LEAP India IPO opens; grey market hints 12% listing gain

LEAP India is a Mumbai-based company that lets other businesses borrow wooden pallets, containers and machines used to move and store goods.

It is the largest company of this kind in India and serves more than 1,000 customers.

Now it is selling shares to the public for the first time, which is called an IPO.

The sale started on 7 August and will end on 11 August, with each share priced between ₹151 and ₹159.

Before the sale began, big investors gave the company about ₹743.62 crore, which shows a lot of interest.

Unofficial price guesses suggest the shares may start trading about 12% higher than the sale price.

Some money experts think the shares are too expensive compared with how much profit the company earns, and they disagree about the right price.

The company also has to wait a long time, about 131 days, to get paid by its customers, which makes its business riskier.

If you buy shares, you should receive them around 12 August, and they will start trading on the stock market on 14 August.

Some experts say to wait and see how the company performs before investing.
