ISRO to Launch Navigation Satellites by 2026
India is working on updating its navigation system.
They're going to launch three new satellites by 2026.
These satellites are part of a system that helps with things like knowing where you are on Earth.
Right now, only four of the original seven satellites are working correctly.
Some earlier attempts to launch satellites didn't go as planned, with a couple failing to reach the correct orbit.
The new launches are meant to improve the accuracy and reliability of the navigation system.
ISRO plans to launch three navigation satellites for the IRNSS by 2026.
The first satellite, NVS-03, is scheduled for launch by the end of the year.
NVS-04 and NVS-05 will follow, with six-month intervals between launches.
Currently, only four of India’s seven navigation satellites are operational.
Eleven satellites have been launched for the IRNSS, with two failures.
