Govt May Delay FCRA Amendment Bill Amid Opposition, Delimitation Talks

Govt May Delay FCRA Amendment Bill Amid Opposition, Delimitation Talks

In India, there is a law that controls how groups can receive money from other countries.

The government wants to change this law to make new rules.

Many people and groups do not like the changes.

Some church groups that help people are worried the new rules will make it hard for them to work.

They are also scared that the government could take their buildings and money if they break the rules.

Because so many people are upset, the government may wait before passing the new law.

The government also needs help from other political parties for different plans.

So it does not want to make those parties angry right now.

The leaders who disagree are talking about what to do next.

Parliament will take a break on August 13, so there is not much time left.
