Niki Walia Recalls Shah Rukh Khan’s Secret Hospital Visit
Niki Walia was badly hurt by a car while filming a television show in 2000.
She stayed in the hospital for more than a month.
Shah Rukh Khan was filming nearby and came to check on her late at night.
He wanted to avoid paparazzi and learn the truth for himself.
Khan had seen the same red van being driven by someone who was still learning.
Walia later said the driver had pressed the accelerator instead of the brake.
She believed this showed that the crash happened because of carelessness, not just bad luck.
She said Khan’s help made it easier to claim money and pay her bills.
Niki Aneja Walia said Shah Rukh Khan visited her secretly while she was hospitalized after a 2000 car accident.
Walia said Khan wanted to determine whether the crash was an accident or resulted from carelessness.
Khan reportedly recognized the red Maruti van after seeing a man learning to drive near Khandala bridge.
Walia said a production manager had selected an untrained person for the scene after the scheduled daily artiste could not attend.
She credited Khan’s information with helping her seek compensation and pay medical bills after her television shows went off air.
