Petronet LNG Approves Interim Dividend Amidst Mixed Quarterly Results
Petronet LNG, a company that handles liquefied natural gas (LNG), announced its latest financial results.
For the three months ending September 2025, the company moved more LNG than in the previous three months, which is a good sign for business activity.
However, even though they handled more gas, their profits were a bit lower compared to the same time last year and the previous quarter.
This happened for both the recent three-month period and the first six months of the financial year.
Despite the drop in profits, the company's leaders decided to give a special payment, called an interim dividend, to their shareholders.
Each shareholder will receive ₹7 for every share they own.
Petronet LNG reported a 4% quarter-on-quarter growth in overall LNG volume throughput for the September 2025 quarter, reaching 228 TBTU.
The Dahej terminal processed 211 TBTU of LNG in the September 2025 quarter, a slight increase from 207 TBTU in the previous quarter.
Profit Before Tax (PBT) for the September 2025 quarter was Rs 1,083 Cr, down from Rs 1,136 Cr in the previous quarter and Rs 1,140 Cr in the corresponding quarter.
Profit After Tax (PAT) for the September 2025 quarter was Rs 806 Cr, lower than Rs 851 Cr in the previous quarter and Rs 848 Cr in the corresponding quarter.
The Board of Directors approved an interim dividend of Rs 7 per share.
