Somnath Dey Attacked Outside Bengal Police Station After Arrest

Somnath Dey was arrested in connection with a serious case involving the death of a trainee doctor.

Police say he was accused of helping arrange the victim’s hurried cremation.

After Dey was brought to a police station in Bengal, a large crowd gathered outside.

Some protesters threw eggs, bricks and stones at him.

Police officers tried to protect Dey from the crowd.

Several officers were hurt during the incident.

Dey was then taken to court in Barrackpore.

Police want to question him about the allegations.
