Bangladesh Demands T20 World Cup Move
The Bangladesh cricket team is supposed to play some of their T20 World Cup matches in India.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) doesn't want to play in India because they have security concerns and because one of their players, Mustafizur Rahman, was not allowed to play in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
They asked to move the matches to Sri Lanka.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) said no and showed a report that said it's safe for the team in India.
The ICC said moving the matches would be too complicated.
The first match is against the West Indies in Calcutta on February 7.
Many tickets have already been sold for the matches in India.
The cricketers are also upset with the BCB Director, Nazmul Islam, because he called former captain Tamim Iqbal an 'agent of India'.
The players are demanding his resignation or they will boycott all cricket.
The BCB said they are sorry for the director's remarks and will take action against him.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) said they are not involved in the talks between BCB and ICC.
Bangladesh cricketers demand the resignation of BCB Director Nazmul Islam due to controversial remarks.
BCB insists on moving T20 World Cup matches outside India due to security concerns and the exclusion of Mustafizur Rahman from IPL 2026.
ICC shares security assessment indicating no heightened threat to Bangladesh team.
