AI surveillance helps trace missing boys within hours in Nandyal
Two boys from a village in India went missing one Tuesday evening.
One boy was 12 years old and the other was 10 years old.
They ran away because they were scolded at school and feared their parents would be told.
They planned to go to a hostel without telling their families.
When the boys were reported missing, the police started searching right away.
Police used a smart security camera system called RTGS AI 360 CCTV to look for the boys.
The camera system spotted one of the boys at a bus stand.
With help from an auto driver, police found both boys on a nearby road that night.
Police talked kindly to the boys and their parents and sent them home safely.
The police officers said the smart camera technology helped them find the boys quickly.
Two minor boys, Gogula Jagadeesh (12, Class VII) and Pallapu Sudheer (10, Class VI), from Abbipuram village went missing on Tuesday evening.
Nandyal police used the RTGS AI 360 CCTV system to trace the boys within hours and reunited them with their parents the same night.
A Dial 112 complaint was registered at 9.53 pm, prompting Superintendent of Police Suneel Sheoran to order an immediate search.
The CCTV 360 application detected Jagadeesh at the Nandyal APSRTC bus stand at 7.39 pm, and with an auto driver's tip, both boys were found on a nearby road around 11.30 pm.
The boys said they had left home after being reprimanded at school and planned to go to a hostel without telling their families; police counselled them and their parents before handing them over.
