RBI Publishes 2026-27 Early Exit Calendar for 32 SGB Tranches
The Reserve Bank of India has announced when some older Sovereign Gold Bonds can be cashed in early.
The announcement covers 32 bond groups issued between June 2019 and March 2022.
These bonds normally last for eight years.
However, investors may request early redemption after holding them for five years.
Each bond group has its own early-redemption date.
Investors also have a separate period in which they must submit their request.
They can use receiving offices, NSDL, CDSL or RBI Retail Direct, depending on how the bonds are held.
The dates run from October 2026 to March 2027.
The RBI said the dates could change if an unscheduled holiday affects the schedule.
Investors should check for later RBI notifications before applying.
