MP Chinni seeks ESI Hospital upgrade
MP Chinni from Vijayawada asked the Central Government to make the ESI Hospital in Gunadala bigger and better.
He wants it to have 300 beds instead of 110 and to add a medical college.
He met with the Union Minister, who promised to look into it.
The hospital serves a lot of people, and the area is growing fast, so it needs more space and better facilities.
The minister said he would check and do what's needed.
Vijayawada MP Kesineni Sivanath (Chinni) urged the Central Government to upgrade the ESI Hospital in Gunadala to a 300-bed tertiary care hospital.
Chinni met Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya and submitted a memorandum highlighting the need for expansion due to increasing patient load and infrastructure deficiencies.
The hospital currently serves 2.88 lakh insured persons and nearly 10 lakh dependent beneficiaries across several districts.
Chinni proposed using the nearly 25 acres of vacant land within the hospital's premises to build the new facility and medical college.
Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya assured that the Centre would examine the proposal and take appropriate steps.
