India-Russia Discuss Arms and Trade
India and Russia are talking about making a new deal for weapons during Russian President Vladimir Putin's visit.
They want to discuss buying advanced fighter jets, a new missile defence system, and more S-400 air defence systems.
India has been friends with Russia for a long time and buys many weapons from them, but they are also trying to buy more from the US and Europe.
At the same time, both countries want to increase their trade to $100 billion by 2030.
They will talk about selling more engineering goods, food, digital services, and medicines to each other.
India's defence secretary said their partnership with Russia is important and will continue.
However, no big agreements are expected to be signed right away.
They will also have a big business meeting to talk about how to work together better in different areas like technology, healthcare, and food.
Russia is offering to share some of the technology for the S-400 missiles, which could help India make them locally.
This could make India's defence stronger and more self-reliant.
