India to Host ASEAN Trade Pact Review in January 2027
India and ASEAN are reviewing a trade agreement about goods they buy and sell to each other.
ASEAN hosted a meeting about the review in Jakarta from October 6 to 9.
The group discussed how negotiations are progressing.
It asked smaller committees to speed up work on chapters that are still pending.
It also wants clear deadlines and better coordination.
India will host the next main meeting in January 2027.
That meeting will be held in hybrid mode, so people can take part in different ways.
The goal is to help finish the negotiations on time.
