The Forest Teaches Us How to See Tigers

The Forest Teaches Us How to See Tigers

Neha Sinha describes watching a forest after the rain.

The sun came out and made parts of the forest shine.

Langurs appeared in the trees and underbrush.

Then a young male tiger walked out between the plants.

People could not see the tiger clearly because grass and bushes blocked their view.

Its stripes blended with the vegetation around it.

Sometimes the tiger looked large, and sometimes it seemed to disappear.

The experience made the observer wonder whether everything had really been seen.

The forest taught her that seeing an animal is not always simple or complete.
