Tata Motors EV Market Share Climbs Above 40% Again

Tata Motors EV Market Share Climbs Above 40% Again

Tata Motors sells electric cars in India.

In July, it sold more electric vehicles than before and regained more than 40% of the market.

Its share had fallen earlier in the year because other companies introduced more electric models.

Tata refreshed the Punch and Tiago and launched the Sierra EV.

These cars give buyers more choices at different prices.

Mahindra became a strong competitor, while JSW MG’s share decreased.

The overall electric-car market also became much larger than it was a year earlier.

Tata says customers are showing more confidence through increased enquiries, bookings and sales.

Experts warn that new capacity from several carmakers could make it harder for Tata to keep more than 40% of the market.
