Youth Urged to Resist Peer Pressure and Reject Drugs

Youth Urged to Resist Peer Pressure and Reject Drugs

More than 1,500 people joined a long walk against drugs.

The walk began at Chalapathi University and ended at the Dhyana Buddha statue in Amaravathi.

Aake Ravikrishna told young people to stay away from drugs.

He said they should not follow friends into harmful choices.

He encouraged them to say “no” to marijuana and other drugs.

He also spoke about students whose lives and families were harmed by addiction.

The event promoted peace, health and a drug-free society.

People can confidentially report drug activity using helpline 1972.
