Bullet Train Project Expected Completion Dates Announced by Minister
Imagine a super-fast train zooming between Mumbai and Ahmedabad!
This train project is like building a superhighway for trains.
It's being built with help from Japan and will have 12 stations along the way.
The part of the track in Gujarat should be done by late 2027, and the whole thing by the end of 2029.
It costs a lot of money, mostly from Japan, and some from the Indian and state governments.
They've already started building parts of it.
When it's done, it will be easier for people to travel between the two cities.
Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail (MAHSR) project is under construction with Japanese technical and financial assistance.
The Gujarat section of the bullet train corridor is planned to be completed by December 2027.
The entire project, from Maharashtra to Sabarmati, is expected to be finished by December 2029.
The project's estimated cost is approximately Rs. 1,08,000 crore, with JICA funding 81%.
