Maternal Death Review Meeting Held in Kurnool
In Kurnool, a meeting was held to talk about how to prevent mothers from dying during childbirth.
The leaders said that every mother should get good medical care and that doctors should find out early if a pregnancy is risky.
They also said that mothers should be taught about good food and health.
The meeting looked at six cases where mothers died and said that if doctors and health workers check on pregnant women regularly, fewer mothers will die.
They also said that high-risk mothers should go to the hospital a few days before their due date to avoid problems.
Many important doctors and health workers were at the meeting and promised to work harder to keep mothers and babies healthy.
The District Medical and Health Department conducted a maternal death surveillance and response (MDSR) review meeting in Kurnool.
DMHO Dr L Bhaskar emphasized the importance of timely and quality medical care to ensure safe motherhood.
The committee reviewed six maternal deaths reported between July and November 2025.
Early identification of high-risk pregnancies and continuous tracking were identified as critical preventive measures.
High-risk pregnant women were instructed to be admitted to government hospitals at least three days before delivery.
