Bombay High Court Orders CBI Probe Into Disha Salian Death
Disha Salian died after falling from a building in Mumbai in 2020.
She had worked as a manager for actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
Police first investigated her death as a possible suicide.
They later treated it as suicide, and one report said the case was closed in 2021.
Disha’s father did not agree with that conclusion.
He said she had been murdered and that important people may have been protected.
The Bombay High Court has now ordered the CBI to register a case and investigate again.
The court also said that no one should be called an accused unless the investigation finds enough evidence.
The Bombay High Court directed the Central Bureau of Investigation to register an FIR into Disha Salian’s 2020 death.
The order followed a petition by Salian’s father, Satish Salian, who alleged gang rape, murder and a politically driven cover-up.
Salian, a former manager of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, died after falling from a Mumbai building on June 8, 2020.
Mumbai Police had registered an Accidental Death Report and treated the case as suicide; one report said the case was closed in 2021 after no foul play was found.
The CBI must receive the Mumbai Police case materials, while the court said nobody should be treated as an accused without sufficient evidence.
