Lionsgate chairman reveals Michael 2 production start, release window
Lionsgate targets late 2027 or early 2028 release for sequel to Michael Jackson biopic - Telegraph India · telegraphindia.com

A movie company called Lionsgate made a movie about Michael Jackson, one of the most famous singers in the world.

That first movie made more than one billion dollars, which is a huge amount of money.

Now Lionsgate wants to make a second movie, called Michael 2.

The young actor who played Michael Jackson in the first movie, Jaafar Jackson, will play him again.

The boss of the movie company said filming for Michael 2 will start near the end of this year or early next year.

The movie might come out between the end of 2027 and the first half of 2028.

Some big musical scenes for the sequel were already filmed while making the first movie, so the studio will use them again.

Making the first movie had some problems, and fixing them cost about fifty million dollars.

The people who are in charge of Michael Jackson's belongings paid for those fixes.

Lionsgate says it will use the old scenes to help make a great sequel.
