Residents Submit Civic Issues Memorandum Ahead of Navi Mumbai Elections
In Navi Mumbai, two groups of residents got together to write a list of problems in their neighborhoods.
They gave this list to people running for office in the upcoming elections.
The groups wanted to make sure that the candidates know about the problems and promise to fix them if they win.
They met in a garden to give the list to the candidates.
The problems include things like fixing roads, cleaning the area, and making sure there is enough water and electricity.
The groups hope that by doing this, the candidates will pay attention to these issues and work to solve them.
Residents' associations submitted a memorandum highlighting civic issues to candidates ahead of the Navi Mumbai civic elections.
The memorandum was handed over at a meeting in Sector 58A, attended by candidates from Ward No. 24 and Ward No. 26.
The issues raised pertain to day-to-day civic amenities and long-pending local problems.
The initiative aims to create accountability and ensure that public issues are included in the candidates' election agenda.
The organizations involved are the Navi Mumbai Jagrut Rahivasi Sangh and the Seawoods Residents Welfare Association.
