Uttarakhand CM Transfers Pensions via DBT
The Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Pushkar Singh Dhami, sent money directly to the bank accounts of 9.4 lakh people who receive pensions.
This money, totaling over ₹140 crore, was sent using a system called Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
The Chief Minister said that the government is working hard to help senior citizens, widows, people with disabilities, and those in need.
He also asked officials to make sure that everyone who is eligible for a pension gets it on time.
The government wants to make sure that the process is fair and transparent, so they are using the DBT system to send the money directly to the people who need it.
