Odisha CM Orders Zero-Casualty Response Amid Heavy Rainfall

Odisha is expecting very heavy rain because of a deep depression over the Bay of Bengal.

The rain may affect districts in the southern part of the State.

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi held a meeting to check the government’s preparations.

He said the main goal is to prevent anyone from dying.

Officials were told to move people from flooded areas to safer places.

They were also asked to provide relief to people who need help.

The government was told to keep taking precautions even though a cyclone is not expected.

Officials said the weather should become better after September 25.
