Ranchi Increases Blood Donor Refreshment Allowance
In Ranchi, if you donate blood, you'll now get a little more to eat and drink.
The amount given for refreshments has gone up from 25 rupees to 50 rupees.
This will include things like juice, a cake, chocolate, and importantly, a bottle of water to keep you hydrated after you donate.
People involved in organizing blood donation drives think this is a good step, making it easier to meet the needs of the donors.
Some feel that 100 rupees would be a better amount because the price for refreshments haven't gone up since the state was formed.
The government is planning a meeting to talk about these changes and how to implement them properly for future donations.
Ranchi's Civil Surgeon increased the refreshment amount for blood donors from Rs 25 to Rs 50.
The revised amount allows for a water bottle, juice, cake, and chocolate.
Liver Saver's supports the increase, citing the importance of hydration.
The Jharkhand Rajkiya Swaikshik Raktdan Co-ordination Committee wants a Rs 100 refreshment packet.
