Karnataka to Conduct Fresh Caste Census from September 22
The government of Karnataka is going to do a new survey to learn more about people's social and financial situations, often called a caste census.
This survey, which will take place from September 22 to October 7, aims to find out things like how much money people have and what land they own.
The information will be used to make decisions about the state's budget.
The government wants to make sure everyone is included and that the survey is done well.
This is happening because some groups felt left out of a similar survey done about 10 years ago.
Karnataka will conduct a new social and educational survey, known as a caste census.
The survey will run for 15 days, from September 22 to October 7.
The survey aims to gather comprehensive data on financial status and land ownership.
The Karnataka State Backward Classes Commission will submit the report by the end of October.
The decision follows directives to address concerns of communities excluded in the 2015 survey.
