Indorigram Turns Friendship Into Indore’s 232,000-Follower Public-Service Community

Indorigram Turns Friendship Into Indore’s 232,000-Follower Public-Service Community

Mayank Bhawsar started Indorigram in 2017 with the help of an idea and a group of friends.

They wanted Instagram to do more than provide entertainment.

They used it to share useful information and help people in their community.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, they posted urgent requests for blood, oxygen, hospital beds, medicines, and plasma.

These posts helped connect patients and families with important resources.

The team says its network helped thousands of people in Indore.

Indorigram later grew to more than 232,000 followers.

Bhawsar also received awards and recognition for this public-service work.
