US returnee faces job challenges in India
Aaradhyaa Khodaria is an Indian professional who studied and worked in the US for six years.
She had a good job at a big tech company, but she lost her job and had trouble with her visa.
She tried to find new jobs in the US, but new rules made it hard.
So, she moved back to India.
Now, she is finding it difficult to get a job in India.
Some companies say she is too qualified, and others worry about her salary expectations and lack of direct experience in the Indian market.
She also has a gap in her resume because of layoffs and visa issues.
Despite these challenges, she started her own marketing and events company and a community group for people who have moved back to India.
Aaradhyaa Khodaria returned to India after six years in the US due to job loss and visa challenges.
She faced difficulties in finding jobs in the US due to a new $100,000 visa fee for candidates outside the US.
In India, she received limited interview calls and was told she was 'overqualified' for some roles.
A 1.5-year gap in her resume and lack of direct Indian market experience affected her job search.
She launched a marketing and events company and a community group for returnees while continuing her job search.
