International Left-Handers Day 2026: Bollywood Stars Among Left-Handed Celebrities
Every year on August 13, the world celebrates International Left-Handers Day.
This special day is for people who use their left hand more than their right hand.
About 7 to 10 out of every 100 people in the world are left-handed.
Many everyday things, like scissors, desks, and tools, are made for right-handed people.
That can make life tricky for lefties, and this day helps people understand those problems.
The day was first celebrated in 1976 by Dean R. Campbell, the founder of Lefthanders International Inc.
A group called the Lefthanders International Club helped organize the day in 1992.
Some famous Bollywood stars, like Amitabh Bachchan and Kapil Sharma, are left-handed too.
The day reminds everyone that being left-handed is normal and not something that needs fixing.
International Left-Handers Day is observed annually on August 13, falling on a Thursday in 2026.
The day aims to raise awareness about the daily struggles of left-handed people in a right-handed world.
An estimated 7-10% of the world's population is left-handed.
The day was first observed in 1976 by Dean R. Campbell, founder of Lefthanders International Inc., and organized by the Lefthanders International Club in 1992.
