Airline, Travel Company Ordered to Pay Passenger Rs 78,920

Airline, Travel Company Ordered to Pay Passenger Rs 78,920

A passenger bought a flight ticket for travel between Delhi and Newark.

The passenger was allowed to travel from Delhi to the United States using the ticket.

On the return trip, the passenger was not allowed to board the flight to Delhi.

The problem was linked to an incorrect name entry in the airline’s guest list.

The passenger then sought a refund.

A consumer commission in Bengaluru examined the case.

It said the airline and travel company had provided poor service.

The commission ordered both companies to jointly pay the passenger Rs 78,920.
